We sponsored youths to attend a baking course

Helping to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in today's economy

Sida is excited to announce that we recently sponsored a group of youths to attend baking lessons. The goal of this initiative was to provide these young people with a valuable skill that they can use to earn a living and contribute to their communities. During the course of the baking lessons, the participants learned a range of skills, including how to make different types of bread, cakes, and pastries. They also learned about the importance of good hygiene practices and how to operate baking equipment safely. By sponsoring these baking lessons, Sida is helping to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in today’s economy. We believe that investing in the education and training of young people is one of the most effective ways to promote sustainable development and reduce poverty. We congratulate the participants on their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to seeing them use their new skills to create a better future for themselves and their communities

We donated sanitary wear to various schools in Silobela

One of the main obstacles is the lack of access to sanitary wear

Sida Promotes Girls’ Education Through Sanitary Wear Support in Silobela. Silobela is a rural area in Zimbabwe where many girls face challenges in accessing education due to a lack of basic resources. One of the main obstacles is the lack of access to sanitary wear, which affects girls’ attendance and performance in school. Sida, a development organization working with the local community and authority, is committed to promoting girls’ education in Silobela. As part of its efforts, Sida recently sponsored sanitary wear to girls in local schools. This initiative aims to provide the necessary resources for girls to stay in school and reach their full potential. The provision of sanitary wear has significant benefits for girls in Silobela. With access to these essential items, girls can attend school without worrying about their menstrual cycle. This reduces absenteeism and dropout rates, and helps to improve their academic performance. Sida is proud to support this initiative and is committed to continuing its work to promote girls’ education in Silobela. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to receive an education and reach her full potential. By providing basic resources like sanitary wear, we can help girls overcome the challenges they face and succeed in school and beyond.”
